Did You "No" That?

Last time you were hanging out and a BFF started talking about drugs…in a "fun" way, did you “No” that?

I mean, did you signal by walking away that that conversation isn’t in your inventory? I’ll bet you did. And because of that, here’s some of what happened:
  • It put a little starch in your back and you walked taller.
  • It made it easier for you to “No” next time.
  • You probably encouraged somebody else to “No.”
  • You let the one who was speaking understand that you’re too smart for that discussion.
  • It sent a powerful message that you’re a leader, not a follower.
  • It may have helped the speaker understand that that topic doesn’t make them the life of the party after all.
  • It proved that you know enough to “No.” You understand how drug use can destroy everything that’s important to you and you’re not going to go there. NFM.
Congratulations! I want to say “Yes!” to your “No.” I’m proud to be your friend. You’re a winner. Tomorrow Looks Good…
